Vitalij Kuprij

Created in 1974 in Volodarka, Kiev, Ukraine, keyboardist Vitalij Kuprij provides received numerous honours for his using talents, and it has covered a multitude of music designs throughout his profession, including classical and prog rock and roll, amongst others. During his early years, Kuprij gained the very first prize within the All-Union Chopin Competition kept in the Republic of Kazan, Soviet Union, along with the best honor on the Geneva Duo Competition for Violin and Piano (furthermore, he made an appearance on Ukranian radio and Television executing concertos by both Beethoven and Chopin). By age 16, Kuprij acquired still left the Ukraine and in 1993, produced his initial prog metal music group, Atlantis Increasing, with guitarist Roger Staffelbach. After Kuprij relocated towards the U.S. in 1995, the music group afterwards mutated into Artension, putting your signature on to Mike Varney’s Shrapnel label and issuing such albums as 1996’s In to the Eye from the Surprise, 1997’s Phoenix Increasing, 1999’s Pushes of Character, and 2000’s Machine. Together with his use Artension, Kuprij begun to concern his own single albums on Shrapnel aswell — 1997’s HI-DEF, 1998’s Extreme Methods, 1999’s VK3, and 2001’s Has the Functions of Liszt and Chopin: Piano. Furthermore, Kuprij provides performed with the brand new York Youngsters Symphony at Carnegie Hall, and, in 2001, was penning materials for a fresh outfit, Band of Fireplace, a cooperation with previous Yngwie Malmsteen vocalist Tag Boals.
