Violens

Created by former members of Lansing-Dreiden in past due 2007, New York’s Violens derive their name from a combined mix of “violence” and “violins.” The music group, originally made up of Jorge Elbrecht (vocals, acoustic guitar), Iddo Arad (vocals, synthesizer), Ben Brantley (bass), and Kris Ruler (drums), performed its first display in Dec of 2007. Having a audio affected by such disparate components as Zombies-style psych-pop, shoegaze, post-punk, and Miami freestyle, Violens released their self-titled EP within the Static Recital label in March 2008. Pursuing that launch, Violens toured the U.S. and European countries, tried their hands at remixes (MGMT, the most effective), made up runway ratings, and a fallen some seasonal mixtapes on the website. During this time period the lineup from the music group transformed, with Brantley and Ruler departing and guitarist Myles Matheny signing up for. This year 2010 the group released its debut record, Amoral, on Friendly Fireplace. They spent 2011 launching songs on the web, creating mixtapes, playing displays, and writing brand-new songs. Among the music they released captured the hearing of Slumberland Information, and in early 2012 the important label released the band’s second record, True.
