Vince Vance & the Valiants

The act behind the sentimental, evergreen vacation favorite “All I’D LIKE for Christmas Is You,” Vince Vance & the Valiants kicked off their career on the far side of the spectrum, climbing the charts in the first ’80s using the novelty number, and Iran hostage crisis answer song, “Bomb Iran.” Shaped in 1971 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the top group (six, seven, or even more members with a complete horn section and trio of history performers) was known because of its theatrical, and comical, stage display. Touring and person to person held them afloat until 1980 when their one “Bomb Iran,” a parody of “Barbara Ann,” made an appearance through the Iran hostage turmoil and became a favorite call-in demand on American Best 40 channels. In 1993 the group released its much more serious and sentimental “All I’D LIKE for Christmas Is certainly You,” an individual that reentered the Scorching Nation Singles and Paths chart through the holiday season for quite some time after, achieving a peak placement of 23 in 2002. In 2003 Vince Vance & the Valiants honored America’s MILITARY with the idea record We Don’t Work, while 2006 noticed them take it all house with the happy solitary “I Am New Orleans,” off their recording I UNDERSTAND What THIS MEANS to Miss New Orleans.
