Viktor Krauss

Eclectic composer and dual bassist Viktor Krauss was created in Champaign, IL, in 1969. His youngsters was spent hearing soundtracks and instrumental music, ultimately leading him towards the piano and trumpet. After witnessing the energy and girth from the dual bass at a middle college concert, the budding musician started looking beyond the original music programs provided by the public college system. He quickly began using local jazz organizations and associated others, including his famed fiddle-bound sister Alison. In senior high school, Krauss explored the worlds of rock and roll, spirit, and R&B and started to create material that distributed these new affects, eventually resulting in the analysis of bass, tone of voice, digital, and tape music in the University or college of Illinois. A Zappa-esque rock and roll unit called Hard Listening was created with fellow musician Sean Smith in the past due ’80s. The duo performed locally at (mainly) university locations before disbanding in 1992, when Krauss became a member of intensifying bluegrass pioneer Peter Rowan’s Totally free Mexican Airforce group, where he discovered himself playing for Hill Stage and Prairie House Friend. After his tenure with Rowan, he started ten years of use Lyle Lovett, touring and documenting with the united states icon until 2003. Krauss’ second record, II, which highlighted performances by Shawn Colvin and Lovett and a cover of Green Floyd’s “Glimmer you Crazy Gemstone,” emerged 3 years later.
