Faithful and effective devotees from the visible kei movement from the 2000s, Vidoll made their way in japan music scene by combining substitute metallic with goth music, ballads, lighter pop numbers, and intense fashion statements. The group was began by bassist Rame, previously of Radifia and Eze:, who started dealing with Jui (vocals), Yukine and Ayano (guitars), and Tero (drums), a few of whom got previous band encounter as well. Right from the start, Vidoll obtained a cope with the Matina label, which released their combined maxi-singles Encounter Pisaroto and Encounter Mayura in 2002. Matina folded in 2003, but Vidoll had been picked up from the label’s successor, Under Code Productions, which released their 1st EPs, If… Yakubutsu Ranyou Bokumetsu Marketing campaign… and Romanesque Gothic (both 2003). One of these was later combined using the 2004 EP Mukashi Futokoro Kashi Ningyou Shuu — Therefore No Ni and re-released in 2005 as Mukashi Futokoro Kashi Ningyou Shuu + Omake Tsuki, developing over the French Mabell label aswell. Ahead of that, Ayano became discouraged by Vidoll’s musical path and departed, changed by Cover, previously of Vanilla (never to end up being confused with Cover of X-Japan). Further lineup shifts occurred in 2005, when Cover and Yukine give up after a farewell “enthusiast club just” tour, the previous citing health issues, the last mentioned for personal factors. They were changed by Shun and Giru, who done the band’s long-overdue studio room full-length debut, V.We.D ESSENTIAL Doll, in 2006. Following its discharge, the music group “graduated” to Sword Information, staying there for just one record, Bastard (2007), before getting picked with the main label Nippon Crown in ’09 2009. In 2007 Vidoll also debuted in the us, where they performed the Jrock Trend festival in LA. Their fourth studio room recording, Esoteric Love, was scheduled to get a March 2009 launch date.
