Biography

A violin prodigy, an early on film scorer, as well as the author of standards including “We Don’t Wish to Cry ANY LONGER,” “I RECALL You,” and “Tangerine,” Victor Schertzinger was created in Mahanoy Town, PA, in 1890. Classically qualified from early years as a child, Schertzinger began showing up with orchestras (led by Victor Herbert and John Philip Sousa) from age eight. He toured America and European countries as an adolescent and after shifting to LA, he worked like a conductor for theatre orchestras, frequently composing his personal music to make use of as support for silent films.
