Victor Lewis

A significant drummer because the 1980s who’s with the capacity of swinging very difficult in a number of contemporary settings, Victor Lewis is a solid asset on the many sessions. For an interval in the 1990s he was well highlighted with Horizon (an organization he co-led with Bobby Watson). Furthermore to his playing skills, Lewis established fact for encouraging youthful skill, while his compositional abilities have led to a few of his music being documented by various other jazz music artists. Lewis provides led periods of his very own for Crimson, AudioQuest, and Enja. In 2007 he was reunited along with his previous Getz quartet tempo section mates Barron and Reid to record We Utilized to Dance (with program head Joel Frahm on tenor sax).
