Vicious Vicious

Even though the Minneapolis group Vicious Vicious began as Erik Appelwick’s moniker for his debut album documented completely on four-track, Blood and Cover, it shortly grew right into a full-blown live band when Darren Jackson, Alex Oana, and Martin Dosh climbed aboard. Using the quartet hashing out preparations of Appelwick’s house recordings, they started producing waves in Minneapolis, and the neighborhood press began to take notice, getting Appelwick a nomination for greatest rock recording with the Minnesota Music Academy in 2002. The group gained another nomination with the same academy a season later for greatest pop band. Shortly thereafter, Vicious Vicious guaranteed a agreement with little Florida indie, Twentyseven Information, who reissued Bloodstream and Cover in Sept of 2003 using the added facilities of nationwide distribution and press.
