Harmony-rich indie pop quartet Via Sound — drummer Danny Molad, vocalist/guitarist Jessica Martins, guitarist Tom Deis, and bassist David Lizmi — fulfilled one another in 2003 while at university in Boston. In just a year, the brand new York City-area music group was striking the stage while completing an EP. Via Sound experienced a fake start the recording of the full-length, but with a convert of good luck, Jim Eno of Spoon enjoyed what he noticed and wanted to generate in Austin, TX. The music group eventually agreed upon on using the SideCho label, which released State Something in Sept 2007.
