Vernel Fournier was among the top jazz drummers back the genre’s glory times, using alongside such legends seeing that Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. A FRESH Orleans indigenous, Fournier discovered from viewing Bourbon Road performers before playing locally as an adolescent with jazz performers Nancy Wilson and Billy Eckstine, amongst others.
