Vending Machine

The moniker for the solo project of Big Ass Truck guitarist Robby Offer, Vending Machine incorporates components of lo-fi rock, folk, funk, garage, singer/songwriter pop, and other things that happens to strike Grant’s fancy. His debut, Unleavened Loaf of bread, premiered on Yep Roc in 1997. Having used the Vending Machine name from a tune he had written while reading on the business portion of a paper, which is evidently a regular songwriting motivation, Grant’s four-track follow-up The Chamber From Right here to There is a dizzying move contact of stylistic jumps, hilariously eccentric preparations, and lyrical obscurity which was far more effective than it will have fairly been. Occasionally executing solo beneath the Vending Machine brand, in addition to with the casual drummer and bassist, Offer nonetheless came back to active responsibility with Big Ass Vehicle in 2001.
