Velvet

Velvet can be an Italian rock and roll group from Rome formed in 1998 consuming Britpop by Giancarlo Cornetta (drums), Pier Luigi Ferrantini (tone of voice, electric guitar), Alessandro Sgreccia (electric guitar), and Pierfrancesco Bazzoffi (bass). Their initial single, “Tokyo Eye,” made an appearance in the summertime of 2000, and in 2001 they participated in the San Remo Event with “Nascosto Dietro el Vetro.” Both tracks are featured on the debut recording for EMI, Versomarte, which also contains the massive strike “Boyband,” a satirical undertake the prefabricated boy-band trend. Success continuing with the next recording, 2002’s Cose Comuni , with a famous cover of Edoardo Bennato’s “Una Settimana, el Giorno.” The summertime of 2003 noticed Velvet starting for pop celebrities such as Basically Red, Macy Grey, Craig David, and Alanis Morissette. 10 Motivi made an appearance in 2004, along with a different edition of the recording was released the next year to add “Dovevo Dirti Molte Cose,” a music the band shown in the 2005 San Remo Event. A live recording was offered in 2006. Right now securely established among the most effective Italian pop rings, Velvet was asked to perform in the Rome Live 8 concert on July 2, 2006. Their last record, basically titled Velvet, shows up in March 2007.
