Velvet Revolver

Velvet Revolver began having a springtime 2002 jam program that reunited ex-Guns N’ Roses bandmates Slash (acoustic guitar), Duff McKagan (bass), and Matt Sorum (drums) on-stage. Using the finding that their chemistry was still heading solid, the trio started pressing around some songs and auditioning performers for what became referred to as “the Task.” Early entries included ex-Buckcherry shouter Josh Todd and Neurotica’s Kelly Shaefer; both became familiar with the trimming room ground. By early 2003, the presence of “the Task” — and its own search for a vocalist — was common understanding, so much in order that VH1 delivered cameras to record the search. Dave Kushner (Lost Youngsters, Dave Navarro) also became a member of up as second guitarist. Stressed STP-er Scott Weiland arrived on board following. He as well as the music group clicked instantly and documented a hyper little bit of glitter metallic for the Hulk soundtrack known as “Established Me Totally free.” By June, “the Project” have been renamed Velvet Revolver, and Weiland was officially produced its lead vocalist, though possession fees stemming from a May bust had been still excellent. Velvet Revolver’s sophomore work, Libertad, implemented in 2007. In Dec 2015, Weiland was discovered deceased in Bloomington, Minnesota, while on tour along with his then-band, the Wildabouts.
