Velocity

Featuring vocalist Giorgos (aka Havoc), guitarist Kostas, bassist Giannis, and drummer Nikos, Greek hardcore staff Velocity got their begin in 1998 — even though the singer and bassist may claim punk rock and roll roots dating dating back to the first ’80s. Putting your signature on to Greece’s very own Black Lotus Information, the quartet released three albums in quick succession, these getting 2001’s live X-Epanastatis (translation: “X-Rebel”), 2002’s Axia kai Dinami (“Worth and Power”), and 2004’s Eleftheria (“Independence”). Notably, and commensurate with their blue-collar, street-punk ethics, Speed sing the majority of their lyrics in Greek.
