Automobile Flips formed in Pittsburgh, Pa in 1994 when guitarist/vocalist Frank Boscoe formed the music group with bassist Tim Parker, guitarist Erik Lipsky, and drummer Tim Hoffman. In early stages, the quartet distributed stages using the Karl Hendricks Trio, Jonny Cohen’s Like Machine, Crayon, as well as the Softies. Jeff Schreckengost had taken over on electric guitar and Craig Whitman had taken over on drums afterwards in 1994. Harriet Information released the band’s debut in 1994, the Our Coming back Champion single, along with the band’s initial full-length Compact disc, 1995’s DOING HIS THING. The band created an impressive selection of music in 1995 and 1996, launching singles on Harriet, Hemiola Information, Rover Information, and Numeric Information on the two-year period. The group performed 39 concerts over those 2 yrs, making it the most energetic amount of the band’s lifestyle. Boscoe’s sibling Paul became a member of the group on vocals from 1995-1996. Drummer Tim Williams and multi-instrumentalist Eric Topolsky joined up with the group from 1996-1997, and guitarist Jesse Trbovich performed on electric guitar in 1996. 1998 noticed the discharge of The Idea Unraveled on Portland, Oregon’s Magic Marker Information. Kisswhistle’s John Lancia was the group’s last drummer, signing up for the group in 1998. The trio of Boscoe, Lancia, and Parker briefly toured the Pacific Northwest in past due 1998 to commemorate the discharge of The Idea Unraveled. The band’s last full-length effort, FOR YOU PERSONALLY I Pine, premiered in early 2000. Automobile Flips also made an appearance on numerous compilations throughout their tenure, including Harriet’s The Long Key in 1995 as well as the Friendly Culture collection in 1998, March Information’ Pop American Style in 1995, in addition to compilations on Sing, Eunuchs!, ZUM, and Eighty North Information. The band known as it quits immediately after their overall performance in the 2000 CMJ event. Boscoe continued to create the Gazetteers.
