Simultaneously aggressive, atmospheric, and emotionally forceful, Vedera can be an indie rock and roll quartet from Kansas Town, MO. Vocalist/guitarist Kristen Might and business lead guitarist Brian Small first worked collectively in a music group called Crimson Authentic; pursuing that group’s divide during the springtime of 2004, both joined makes with bassist Jason Douglas and drummer Drew Small (Brian’s younger sibling, who was simply in senior high school when the music group first shaped). The group was called Veda, partly for “Vedha,” a Hindu phrase signifying “sacred writings” and partly for Vada, the type performed by Anna Chulmsky within the 1991 film My Young lady. Veda eventually landed tours starting for Mute Mathematics and Owen while also writing stages with famous brands Underoath, Thrice, and Communiqué. In 2006, the group released its initial full-length record, The Pounds of a clear Area, before changing its name from Veda to Vedera in order to avoid legal actions from a likewise called group.
