Given birth to in rural NY State in the first ’60s, Tag Gage (aka Vapourspace, Cusp) grew thinking about electronic music of most kinds while we were young. He began documenting in 1983, though his 1st release didn’t show up until over a decade later. Now located in Rochester, Gage known as Plus 8 label-head Richie Hawtin (aka Plastikman) and finally signed a agreement. His “Gravitational Arch of 10” debut was well-received, as was a U.S. tour with Orbital, Moby as well as the Aphex Twin during 1993. Themes from Vapourspace was an extremely mature debut recording — unsurprising, provided Gage’s recording encounter. He adopted it up with Sweep in 1997. His Cusp task (nearer to straightahead techno) offers released many singles, including “Drone Um Futurisma,” and Gage in addition has remixed Juno Reactor, Pressure of Conversation, FUSE and Oliver Lieb.
