Vocalist Val Little was formerly in George Clinton’s Wedding brides of Funkenstein and in addition did history vocals for the Distance Music group and Roy Ayers. She became a single vocalist after interacting with Rick Adam, and Adam got her agreed upon to Motown. They proved helpful together for the LP Seduction in 1985. It got Youthful one Best 20 and something Best 30 R&B one, but she was struggling to progress past that time.
