Urban Myth

Brighton, England’s Urban Misconception is a four-piece electro-acoustic improvisational device whose members result from differing backgrounds and two different continents. Jim Dark and Kirsten Elliott hail from Canada, while Adam Bushell and Henry Collins are from your U.K. All users are multi-instrumentalists and also have used a multitude of music artists from Wayne Horvitz to Peggy Lee. The minor jungle/drum’n’bass details in the band’s music result from Bushell’s encounter inside a prior music group, K-Scope, which released information on LTJ Bukem’s BEAUTIFUL imprint. In 2004 the exciting device released Live in the Friends Meeting Home, documented live at Collins’ golf club, the Quiet Home, with avant-garde jazz musician Steve Beresford guesting on piano and consumer electronics.
