Uphill Battle

The California hardcore/noisecore/grindcore quartet Uphill Fight got its begin in 1999, of which time these were going with the name Crawlspace. Their primary lineup contains guitarist/business lead vocalist Adi Tejada (previously from the music group Somnambulist), drummer/support vocalist Danny Walker (Destroy Babylon), bassist/support vocalist Graham Clise (Eat Shit & Die), and business lead guitarist Eric Gormley. This lineup documented the band’s initial demo in-may of 1999 quickly before changing its name from Crawlspace to Uphill Fight. This lineup also documented a divide 7″ using the music group Search for Quintana Roo, which arrived on Lo Skillet Records. Many lineup changes happened inside the music group in 2000: Clise still left the music group and was changed by Jehf Jones, while Gormley departed immediately after and was changed by Jeff Capra (also of Holier Than Thou). Uphill Fight documented its debut full-length in March of 2001, and they were found by Relapse Information. This self-titled record eventually arrived in middle-2002, where stage the band’s lineup acquired temporarily settled to add Tejada on electric guitar and business lead vocals, Walker on drums and support vocals, Capra on business lead electric guitar, and newcomer Joe Gonzalez on bass and support vocals.
