Provided their name by a pal, who was astonished after hearing their confrontational rhymes, Tee (blessed Teosha Thomas) and Gunna (blessed Jasmine Baker) joined forces as high schoolers within their indigenous East St. Louis, IL. After some regional performances, both drove to a fresh York skill search, where they impressed budding music moguls Sita Lewis and Ty Fyffe (the last mentioned a manufacturer who had caused famous brands Wreckx-N-Effect, Busta Rhymes, and 50 Cent). Agreed upon to the Lewis family’s Def Jam-supported Voicez label, Tee and Gunna documented Unladylike Radio, released through Def Jam in June 2009.
