Finnish doom metallic music group Unholy was shaped in 1988 by singer/bassist Pasi Äijö and guitarist Jarkko Toivonen; originally dubbed Holy Hell, the group documented a demo entitled Kill Jesus just before implementing their familiar name in 1989. The next 12 months, Unholy — having added guitarist/keyboardist Ismo Toivonen — released a second demonstration, Procession of Dark Doom, along with fresh drummer Jan Kuhanen resurfaced in 1991 using the EP Visit to Depressive Fall months; both gained positive underground see, and upon putting your signature on to Lethal Information the music group released its recognized debut From your Shadows in early 1993. Following the follow-up THE NEXT Band of Power fulfilled with combined response, nevertheless, Unholy disbanded in past due 1994, with each member seeking solo tasks; the group reunited in middle-1996, although Toivonen rather chose to stay with his brand-new band, Tiermes. The rest of the trio came back in 1998 with Rapture, adding keyboardist Veera Muhli before documenting Gracefallen a season later.
