Uncle Cyp & Aunt Sap

A favorite husband-and-wife comedy duo, Uncle Cyp (b. Laurence Lemarr Brasfield, 1 March 1888, Smithville, Mississippi, USA, d. 6 Sept 1966, Raymondsville, Tx, USA) and Aunt Sap (b. Neva Inez Fisher Greevi, 14 March 1889, Luther, Michigan, USA, d. 19 March 1980, Raymondsville, Tx, USA) wedded circa 1906 and come up with a comedy action that highlighted a rustic few. Brasfield initially performed a nation hayseed character referred to as Boob, which became Cyprus, and finally they followed the brands of Uncle Cyp and Aunt Sap. They initial worked on several tent and vaudeville displays, like the Bisbee Comedians, all around the USA, before they truly became regulars on the initial Ozark Jubilee, when it had been formed. These were the just act to try out on the present from its starting until it shut in 1961, whereupon they retired from showbusiness. Brasfield, who passed away of lung cancers in 1966, was an elder sibling of Grand Ole Opry comedian Fishing rod Brasfield, who at onetime caused him over the vaudeville circuit.
