Unanimous Decision

Shaped in south London, England, in 1990, Unanimous Decision’s debut documenting was the Rap Sings The Blues EP, released on Kold Sweating Details in 1992. The EP included the throwaway ‘Basically Wack’ monitor, which sampled the Benny Hill and Muppet Present television themes in order to parody the ‘just design of rap that gets performed for the radio’. Ironically, ‘Basically Wack’ was chosen by radio developers in the manner how the lyrics decried, and their even more earnest materials was totally disregarded. The group, manufacturer Paul T, rappers Bravo, Eveready, Chich and DJ Rob G, had been left a lot more cynical about the plight of United kingdom hip-hop. Eveready was previously a member from the DJ group Vice Versa, and experienced also received a rap competition on Kiss FM disk jockey Dave Pearce’s display, resulting in an aborted agreement using the right now defunct Reachin’ Information. Another Unanimous Decision EP, the six-track It Ain’t Clever, adopted in July 1993.
