Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

Formed for the one off tiny have fun in 1985, the Ukulele Orchestra of THE UK soon grew into a continuing display, playing tunes as mixed as Nirvana, Otis Redding, and Tchaikovsky, in genres as mixed as rock and roll, jazz, classical, and punk. Comprised of tempo, bass, baritone, tenor, soprano, and business lead ukulele players (all outfitted towards the nines — as would befit a symphonic orchestra) and also other instrumentation to augment where required, the Ukulele Orchestra provides appeared in several countries, like the United Condition, Japan, Finland, and elements of continental European countries. In Britain, the group provides played several effective gigs, and made an appearance on tv in such displays as Jools Holland Hootenanny, Hardly ever Brain the Buzzcocks’ Xmas Particular, and Richard and Judy. In 2005, to increase their already significant discography, the Ukulele Orchestra of THE UK released the Dvd movie Anarchy Within the Ukulele, documented reside in London.
