Twin Sister

Long Isle, New York-based indie pop quintet Twin Sister produce music that’s dreamy, however danceable. The five people of the group — vocalist Andrea Estella, bassist Gabe D’Amico, drummer Bryan Ujueta, keyboardist Dev “Udbhav” Gupta, and guitarist (occasionally vocalist) Eric Cardona — crossed pathways while playing within their particular bands, eventually befriending one another and developing Twin Sister in 2008. Their initial EP, Vampires with Fantasizing Children, was self-released that season. After their initial live present out of city, at SXSW, they toured with tUnE-YarDs and Xiu Xiu before placing the final details on the second EP, Color YOUR DAILY LIFE, which followed this year 2010. In 2011, Twin Sister agreed upon to Domino Information and released their initial full-length, In Heaven, that Sept. The group underwent some extreme adjustments in 2013: not merely do Twin Sister component methods with Domino, but Estella was identified as having multiple sclerosis, and an automobile crash while on tour in Tallahassee, Florida remaining them lucky to become alive. After acquiring time to recuperate, the quintet documented its second recording by using maker Jon Low and users of Ava Luna, and rechristened themselves Mr Twin Sister. Their darker, electronic-driven self-titled second recording arrived in Sept 2014.
