Australian lo-fi revivalists Twerps help to make loud pop and ’80s-influenced college rock which has an unmistakable Soaring Nun/Fresh Zealand feel. Created in Melbourne and composed of guitarist/vocalists Martin Frawley and Julia McFarlane, bassist Rick Milovanovic, and drummer Patrick O’Neill, the music group released the nice Advice single in ’09 2009 and captured the ears of sound pop fanatics. In 2011, Twerps came back having a self-titled full-length recording. The record fulfilled with crucial acclaim and garnered them an array of followers, including celebrity Jessica Alba. The music group spent another 12 months touring the globe and issued an individual, “Function It Out,” in the summertime of 2012 for Section Music and Underwater Individuals. They returned to a reliable diet of displays, including 2013’s Laneway Event tour, before putting your signature on with Merge in the U.S. through the summer time of 2014. At exactly the same time, they released their long-overdue following record, the Underlay EP. This self-recorded launch was the first ever to feature fresh drummer Alex MacFarlane (of fellow Melbourne music group the Stevens), who became a member of the music group in early 2013. He was up to speed when the music group documented their second recording, Range Anxiety, that was co-released by Merge and Section in early 2015.
