The music of avant-garde, electronic-oriented collective Tuxedomoon ranged from brand-new wave pop to jazz fusion to more experimental synthesizer soundscapes (usually including saxophone and violin), that have been frequently wedded in concert to performance art shows. The group was shaped in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA in 1977 by two digital music college students at SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA City University, Blaine L. Reininger (keyboards, violin) and Steven Dark brown (keyboards, other tools). Brown’s regional theater connections provided equipment and periodic vocalists in Gregory Cruikshank and Victoria Lowe, plus much more frequent efforts from vocalist and performance designer Winston Tong. Punk and fresh wave had been checking the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA music scene at that time, and Tuxedomoon got an opening slot machine for Devo in 1978 at around once they lower their first solitary, “Pinheads on the road.” Lowe stop the music group before their 1st EP, Zero Tears, which presented off-and-on users Michael Belfer (acoustic guitar) and Paul Zahl (drums). The next decade, Brown, Rule, Reininger, and truck Lieshout reconvened release a Cabin in the Sky (2004), Bardo Resort Soundtrack (2006), and Vapour Paths (2007).
