The Southern-fried punk project of guitarist/vocalist Jonas Stein, Turbo Fruits formed while Stein was still in the music group End up being Your Own Pet. The initial edition of Turbo Fruits also included End up being Your Own Family pet drummer John Eatherly; the duo added bassist Utmost Peebles because of its self-titled debut, that was released in 2006 in the U.K. and the next season in the U.S. via Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Serenity! label. Stein continuing the music group after Become Your Own Family pet folded in 2008, adding bassist Wes Traylor and drummer Zack Martin for Turbo Fruits’ second recording, Echo Kid, although pair would keep the band soon before the recording premiered in fall 2009 on Excess fat Possum. That fall, the music group also made an appearance in the film Whip It. Stein later on recruited drummer Matt Hearn and bassist Dave McCowen to complete for the lacking rhythm section, aswell as adding second guitarist Kingsley Brock this year 2010. Another full-length, Butter, would get to 2012.
