Effective blues-based rock quartet from Roxbury, Massachusetts, USA, who sparked alive briefly within the middle-80s but disappeared just like quickly. Having a line-up of Jack port Hickey (acoustic guitar), John Hovorka (acoustic guitar, vocals), Fred Nazzaro (drums) and David Shibler (drums), the Turbines occupied an area somewhere within the frenzied rockabilly from the Cramps as well as the mannered dark élan of early Nick Cave. It later on transpired the band had been close allies from the Blasters, whose nation punk tests constituted another assessment invoked during the period of their two albums.
