Created in London in 1994 by Williams Cumberbache (b. 18 Might 1966, Caracas, Venezuela; percussion), Tumbaito quickly founded themselves among the leading rings in Britain’s growing Latin/salsa dance picture. Based throughout the nucleus of Cumberbache, Nico Gomez (b. 20 Sept 1964, Fine, France; bass, vocals) and Nestor Garcia (b. 12 November 1964, Todas las Palmas, Spain; electric guitar, keyboards, vocals), with regular support from various other music artists including Nino Rocha (vocals), Paul Booth (saxophone) and Roland Perrin (key pad, ex-Evidence), the music group performed at night clubs and festivals through the entire UK, and in 1997 these were asked to Jordan to provide a private functionality for Royal Prince Hussein. Within the same season, they released their debut, Otros Tiempos, which showcased their mixture of several Latin American designs with gritty jazz and funk affects. Cumberbache also works percussion workshops, serves as a music expert to advertising organizations and functions as a program musician (he provides highlighted on recordings by Cathy Dennis, Hanny and Sierra Maestra).
