Hailing from Richmond, VA, Tulsa Drone’s experimental slow-tempo noises were initially developed by Peter Neff (dulcimer) and Erik Grotz (guitars, vocals) in early 2001. More than the next couple of years they were became a member of by Jim Thomson (drums), Scott Hudgins (electric guitar, bass), and Jim Chandler (electric guitar, bass). Acquiring interest in the neighborhood region, Tulsa Drone discovered themselves on expenses with Smog, Firmness, Centimeters, and Big Lazy. Their 1st record, No Wake, was accompanied by Tunes from a Mean Time of year, made by Scott Small of Sparklehorse. Thomson offers since been changed by fresh drummer Kevin Cornell.
