Tu Fawning

Portland, Oregon-based indie rockers Tu Fawning formed in the past due 2000s across the abilities of 31Knots bandleader Joe Haege, vocalist/songwriter Corrina Repp, and Portland music picture veterans Toussaint Perrault and Liza Reitz. Citing affects as diverse as Django Reinhardt, Tom Petty, Bing Crosby, and Jay-Z, the quartet pulls on components from Haege’s post-punk history and Repp’s indie folk present, leading to an intoxicating mixture of moody, angular pop and rainy Pacific Northwest indie rock and roll that brings to brain performers like Portishead, PJ Harvey, and Florence + the device. The music group released its debut EP, Secession, in 2008, accompanied by Hearts on Keep (2010) and Monument (2012).
