Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re

Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re, frequently styled TsuShiMaMiRe, is a punk-inspired indie rock-band from Chiba, Japan. A play on the term “mamire” (around, “smeared”), the name mixed parts of the initial members’ brands: Yayoi Tsushima (bass), Mari Kono (vocals/electric guitar), and Mizue Masuda (drums). The ladies began playing jointly in university and produced their first home made recordings in the first 2000s. They performed on the South by Southwest celebration in Austin, Tx in 2004, and their standard debut, Pregnant Illusion, came via Benten Tokyo in the summertime of that season. Building an American group of fans in early stages, the music group would go back to the U.S. frequently to tour. Benten Toyko released their follow-up record, No-Miso Shortcake, in 2007. With TsuShiMaMiRe and Rock and roll and Beer made an appearance a year afterwards, and Ah Umi Da implemented in ’09 2009. They continuing a design of annual produces after partnering with Great Charamel Information, which released 2010’s Sex for the Seaside, 2011’s Giving Even more Bloodstream, and 2012’s Stunning. Space Shower Music got over in 2013 with an eponymous record, and Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re’s initial compilation, Mamire, premiered in 2014. The next season brought their ninth studio room LP, Almost Individual. After over 17 years using the trio, Masuda provided see in January 2017 that she was shifting to pursue various other projects.
