Trust Punks

Auckland indie rock and roll quintet Trust Punks formed early in 2013 through the ashes from the more pop-oriented rings Nevernudes, Great Cult, and Lawn Cannons, determined to make a space where they could test unencumbered in merging components of their disparate affects — rings such as Cable, Deerhunter, Females, and Liars. Their interesting audio merged post-punk, university rock, and sound rock and roll tropes with complicated politics and philosophical lyrical designs. They self-released their debut one, the organic and muddy “Amphetamine Psychosis,” in Apr 2013, and several further singles implemented, marketed through their Bandcamp web page. These included the churning “Vulnerable Keep,” which finished up on the debut EP, Self-discipline, released in November 2014 by Auckland’s Spunk Information. On their initial full-length, 2016’s Increase Bind, Trust Punks emphasized their intense post-punk tests and politics outrage.
