Trudy Desmond

Biography

Trudy Desmond’s subdued, sensuous design and versatility helped produce her perhaps one of the most prominent feminine Canadian jazz vocalists. Her music created while she pursued other professions, including functioning as an celebrity, running an inside design business, generating cabaret and theatre shows, and owning a golf club for vocalists. Like a vocalist, she caused both little and huge ensembles, performing in a number of configurations from small night clubs to festivals in america and Canada. She documented for several brands, including Justin Period, Unisson, Jazz Alliance, and Koch. Her struggle with malignancy also led her to spend her time and energy to numerous medical charities and organizations. She passed away in 1999.
