Chicagoland local Tristen Gaspadarek is a Nashville-based vocalist/songwriter who information and performs beneath the name Tristen. Motivated by Beatles music on oldies radio and inspired by her musician dad, Tristen began tinkering with music at a age, recording in the home and playing at regional coffeehouses. After graduating from De Paul School, she relocated to Nashville to help expand pursue a profession in music. In ’09 2009, she put together a Compact disc of her house recordings entitled Teardrops and Lollipops, which she marketed at displays in exclusive hand-sewn sleeves. In early 2011, she released a far more definitive debut known as Charlatans on the Backyard Gate, an record of smartly created indie pop with strains of folk and Americana. The record was well received, gaining compliment from NPR, Paste Newspaper, and Spin. She continued tour with set up serves like Justin Townes Earle and Ezra Furman & the Harpoons before proceeding back again to Nashville to record her follow-up. Missing an archive label, Tristen opted to invest in her next record through an effective Kickstarter advertising campaign. The resulting discharge was 2013’s Caves, an eloquently produced, synth-driven record and stylistic remaining switch for Tristen. Like its forerunner Charlatans, Caves was also called Best Local Recording in 2013 from the Nashville Picture Critics Poll.
