Trio Grande

The dance music of Central Europe is coupled with West African rhythms by Berlin-based Trio Grande. Incorporating a varied blend of People from france bourees, German zwiefaches, Schottische, and waltzes, the group has generated a distinctive dance-inspiring sound. The building blocks for a lot of Trio Grande’s music is usually centered round the uncommon interplay between two hurdy-gurdies performed by Silke Reichmann and Hans Lang. Although the initial group was collectively for just four years, their legacy continues to be continued by succeeding music artists, including guitarist/bouzouki participant Wolfgang Zimmerman and percussionist Peter “Kebba” Lober, students of Gambian and Senegalese rhythms for a lot more than 2 decades.
