This group’s history dates back to 1942; present innovator Hugh Borde got order in 1951 and pioneered the introduction of the modern metal drum orchestra. During the period of 16 albums, the Trinidad Tripoli Steelband offers pursued a mixture of soca, calypso and reggae. Borde was presented with a Golden Medal of Merit in 1986 by Ronald Reagan. The group’s latest release, hotlikefire, made an appearance on Schoolkids’ Information.
