Tret Fure

Pop/rocker Tret Fure’s personal history is really as diverse seeing that her many music talents. Blessed in Iowa, she was raised in Illinois and Michigan’s higher peninsula, turning professional at 16 to sing in coffeehouses and on university campuses before shifting to the Western world Coast to wait the School of California at Berkeley. She started her music-writing profession when she was 19, and proved helpful for a while being a vocalist and guitarist for Spencer Davis, showing up on and composing music for his record Mousetrap (United Performers, 1970). Her very own first (self-titled) single album was made by Lowell George of Small Feat and released in 1973 over the Uni Information subsidiary of MCA, and soon thereafter she toured thoroughly, starting for such organizations because the J. Geils Music group, Yes, and Poco. Merging her music-making abilities with those as an effective engineer and maker for Olivia Information, she manufactured, co-produced, and performed on albums for Cris Williamson and June Millington, in addition to Olivia’s landmark dual recording, Meg/Cris at Carnegie Hall. Following a launch of her second recording, Terminal Keep (1984) for the Olivia subsidiary Second Influx, Fure centered on her single career, along with the looks of her third recording, Edges from the Center (1986) she became securely established as a respected pop/rock and roll performer with uncommon depth and variety. On her 4th single album, Time Converts the Moon (1990), she continuing to pay for homage to her origins in folk and rock and roll & move. She teamed individually and appropriately with Williamson, as well as the duo released three albums, Postcards from Heaven (Olivia, 1993), Between your Addresses (Wolfmoon/Goldenrod, 1997), and Radio Calm (1999), before divorce. Fure then came back to single function, founding her personal record label, Tomboy Young lady, that she recorded BACK (2001), My Sneakers (2003), Anytime Anywhere (2005), and Accurate Compass (2007).
