Trenchmouth

A totally uncategorizable quartet from Chicago that combined the skills of Damon Hair (vocals, percussion), Fred Armisen (drums), Chris DeZutter (acoustic guitar), and Wayne Montana (bass), Trenchmouth released four LPs throughout their existence that bounced from genre to genre using the predictability of the bumper pool billiard ball. In approximately six years, the music group romped through countless strains of rump-shaking music forms, including no influx, post-punk, funk, and reggae. Offered they moved your body, Trenchmouth allow all their affects in with open up arms. While previously work like Building of New Actions was more acoustic guitar based, they focused on the reduced end with raising reliance toward the finish of their presence, as on 1996’s dub-saturated Broadcasting Program. The band split up after that launch, with Hair and Montana carrying on using the Eternals; Armisen continued to develop an extended resumé like a comedic overall performance designer. Each of Trenchmouth’s albums are satisfying, blending the soul of punk with professional execution from the diverse designs tackled.
