Travadinha (Antonio Vincente Lopes) was possibly the most diverse and dextrous musician from the Cape Verde islands. Playing magnificently in the violin, viola, cavaquinho, and electric guitar. Travadinha performed traditional mornas: plaintive music of lost like, separated close friends, and faraway homelands, just as much respected because of their poetic grace for their musical virtuosity.
