Chapel Hill, NC-based insurgent nation band Trailer Bride-to-be was led by vocalist/songwriter Melissa Swingle, a onetime person in the all-female trio Pussy Tooth. Pursuing that band’s demise, Swingle turned from bass to acoustic guitar, began writing tunes and formed Truck Bride-to-be in 1993 with upright bassist Daryl White colored. Carrying out a succession of drummers, Brad Goolsby became a member of the line-up, and with the help of business lead guitarist Bryon Negotiate, the roster was total; in past due 1996, Trailer Bride-to-be released its self-titled debut recording on Walt Information, jumping to Bloodshot for the 1998 follow-up Smelling Salts. Whine de Lune — documented with fresh guitarist Scott Goolsby — made an appearance a year later on. Bloodshot Records released Large Seas in middle-2001.
