Home / Biography / TQD

TQD is a cooperation between Royal T (Tag Taylor), DJ Q (Shollen Quarshie), and Flava D (Danielle Gooding), all heavy-hitting suppliers in the U.K. garage area/grime picture. The project basically aims to fully capture the pleasure of the garage area and bassline moments, and their paths are uptempo, bouncy, and swinging, with fast vocal edits and flexible basslines. TQD’s debut one, “Time & Evening,” premiered by Elijah & Skilliam’s Butterz label in 2015. This is accompanied by the somewhat even more melancholy, Burial-esque “ONLY 1” (which also made an appearance on Flava D’s Fabriclive.88 mix CD) and “Ghosts.” TQD’s full-length debut, UKG, made an appearance on Butterz in 2017. The record included a vocal edition of “Spirits” offering grime MC P Cash, and a monitor co-produced by Swindle and Skilliam.
