Melding alternative rock and roll, punk, and steel affects (mostly Melvins and early Nirvana), enigmatic Oakland, California-based trio Totimoshi had been shaped in 1997 by vocalist/guitarist Tony Aguilar and bassist Meg Castellanos. Several drummers been employed by using the duo since, and Totimoshi’s LPs consist of 1999’s eponymous debut, 2001’s ¿Mysterioso? (offering drummer Johann Zamora), and 2003’s Monolí (with drummer Don Newenhouse). Because the band’s audio developed, Totimoshi enlisted drummer Luke Herbst for 2007’s enigmatic Ladrón, that was produced by Web page Hamilton of Helmet. Milagrosa, which Aguilar referred to as “an imaginary battle between like/compassion and hate/assault,” showed up on Volcom in 2008. Totimoshi started saving a follow-up in ’09 2009, but had been fallen by their label and had been forced to proceed it alone, slowing the recording improvement. The recording Avenger found its way to the summertime of 2011 independently Baffled Recordings imprint. Close friends of Totimoshi, specifically Dale Crover from the Melvins, Brent Hinds of Mastodon, and Scott Kelly of Neurosis, guested within the recording.
