Toshiro Mayuzumi

Toshiro Mayuzumi was the first Japan composer to produce functions of musique concrète and electronic music. In 1951, he graduated from a Tokyo university or college and enjoyed an effective premiere of his structure, “Sphenogrammes,” in the ISCM event. While spending another year learning in Paris, Mayuzumi uncovered the musique concrète picture. He came back to Tokyo and produced the composer group Sannin no Kai (“Band of Three”) and composed the initial musique concrète function (“X, Y, Z” [1955]) and initial digital piece (“Shusaku I” [1955]) in Japan. His experimentations likewise incorporate the usage of ready piano and uncommon instrumentations.
