Torn Asunder

Springfield, MA-based loss of life metal music group Torn Asunder released their debut recording, Recollections, in past due 2005, but bandmembers Rusty Kupyar (vocals), Micah London (acoustic guitar), Johnny Bendezu (bass), and Jimmy Bendezu (drums) actually formed the music group in Hartford, CT, completely back 1996! Quite simply, they spent almost ten years playing regional gigs, funding their personal demos (and an EP: 1999’s In Unpleasant Remembrance), as well as split momentarily in 2004. Fortunately, that decision finally jolted underground metallic cognoscenti to recognizing what they’d allow slip aside, and prompted a reunion which quickly led to the documenting of said recording. Boasting crunchy loss of life metallic spiced with unavoidable nuances from the region’s common metalcore design, Recollections announced the appearance of second guitarist “Metallic” Steve Ghazil, and preceded the departure of founding member London, changed by Sean Gaura) (ex-End-Time Illusion) for following touring in 2005.
