Lead vocalist/guitarist/piano guy Tiago Bettencourt was the pressure behind their development. Around him, he collected Ricardo Frutuoso (acoustic guitar), Dodi (b. Jorge Pamplona, bass), and Rato (b. Pedro Lima, drums). Nearly immediately, Toranja began slogging it hard, getting gigs wherever they could.
