Born Feb 3, 1938, in Baden-Baden as Herbert Anton Hilger, German pop and opera singer Tony Marshall attended the Karlsruher University of Music, graduating in 1965. His profession as a vocalist became popular in 1971 when his documenting of “Fairly Maid” was an enormous international achievement, and he is still popular in Germany for his stage assignments just as much as his recordings.
