Toni Platão

Toni Platão appeared within the Brazilian rock and roll scene along with his music group Hojerizah in the ’80s. Using the group’s dissolution, he continued with his single career, benefiting from his uncommon (among Brazilian rock and roll rings) vocal timbre. With Picassos Falsos’ (Hojerizah’s change ego) guitarist Gustavo Corsi, Platão adopted a spirit music course, liberating Tony Platão in 1994 with originals and tunes by additional Brazilian rock and roll composers. His second single one (Calígula Freejack, 2000) proceeded to go better, combining Baden Powell/Vinícius de Moraes’ Afro-samba traditional “Canto de Ossanha” with modern pop/rock and roll creations.
